2 ADULTS ACCUSED OF SMOKING CRACK COCAINE IN CAR WHILE BABY WAS IN BACK SEAT

Crack cocaine was allegedly being smoked by two adults in a parked car while a 1-year-old baby was in the car too

32-year-old Desirae Cushman and 28-year-old Jacob Moulton were both arrested on charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and unlawful possession of drugs.

Desirae and Jacob are accused of smoking crack cocaine in a parked car in Belmont, Maine while a 1-year-old child was strapped into a car seat in the back seat.

Officers allegedly found the pair on December 21, 2019 inside a vehicle parked in an empty lot.

Officials say Desirae and Jacob were found to be in the act of smoking cocaine base known by its street name, crack cocaine.

A 1-year-old baby was strapped into a car seat near the suspects. It was not immediately known how the child was connected to the suspects.

The child was turned over to a relative after the arrests of the suspects. Officials with the Department of Health and Human Services were notified about the incident.
