$2 MILLION IN COCAINE INTERCEPTED AT CHECK POINT
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers intercepted cocaine with an estimated street value of more than $2 million in one enforcement action at the World Trade Bridge in Laredo, Texas.
The seizure was on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 when a officer referred a truck trailer for a secondary examination. Following a canine and non-intrusive imaging system examination, officers discovered a total of 104 packages with a weight of 264 pounds of cocaine concealed within the trailer.
The narcotics have an estimated street value of $2,036,940.
Federal officers seized the narcotics and trailer. The case was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations special agents for further investigation.
