DRUG SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER 14 POUNDS OF MARIJUANA ALLEGEDLY FOUND IN VEHICLE

Over a dozen pounds of marijuana was confiscated during a I-77 traffic stop

Aaron Moore, 42, was arrested after 14 pounds of marijuana was allegedly found in a vehicle during a traffic stop in Iredell County, NC on Oct. 7, 2020.

Iredell County deputies performed the traffic stop on Interstate-77 South. Deputies approached and spoke with Aaron who was the driver and only person in the vehicle, who told the deputies he was traveling from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Atlanta, Georgia.

During the traffic stop, a canine was able to sniff out the presence of a narcotic coming from the vehicle. Officials say, a probable cause search was conducted and deputies discovered 14.02 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle concealed inside a large suitcase. The individual packages were vacuumed sealed.

Aaron has been charged with Felony Trafficking Marijuana by Possession and Felony Trafficking Marijuana by Transport.
