On July 17, 2021 Xavier Ramirez, 23, was arrested at the airport in Charlotte, NC charged with having $215,000 in cocaine taped to him.
Xavier arrived to Charlotte on a flight from the Dominican Republic. At the Charlotte airport U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers observed a bulge under Xavier's shirt after he removed his jacket.
The bulge consisted of a white, powdery substance that field-tested positive for cocaine, federal officials say. The cocaine weighed over six pounds and had an estimated street value of $215,000.
