
SUSPECT ACCUSED OF COCAINE TRAFFICKING, MOTHER MURDERED IN 1991
Exzavier Hoey, 37, was arrested on February 25, 2022 in Charlotte, NC. He is charged with trafficking cocaine, possess drug paraphernalia, possession of firearm by felon, possession with intent to sell cocaine, and resisting a officer. Hoey's mother was shot and killed in 1991.
On February 25th, 2022, cops arrived at an apartment complex unit on Magnolia Hill Drive. During the search cops say they found drugs and a gun. Hoey was accused of being in possession of cocaine and the gun. Hoey is a convicted felon and is prohibited from having firearms.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the county jail. In 1991 Hoey's mother Yolanda Yvette Hoey was murdered in a violent shooting in the Hidden Valley area of Charlotte, NC. Nearly 30 years later Louis Samuels, 60, was charged with Yolanda's murder in January 2019.
COLD CASE MURDER SOLVED FROM 1991
On Feb. 3, 1991, the 25-year-old Yolanda was reported missing by her family. Seven days later, she was found deceased in her vehicle, parked at 1435 Ventura Way Dr. Charlotte, NC.
She’d been shot several times.
On Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, cold case detectives presented the case to the Mecklenburg County Grand Jury, which indicted Samuels on a charge of first degree murder.
Samuels was already in federal prison custody and was scheduled for release on June 18, 2019.
