COAST GUARD CATCHES 27 CUBAN MIGRANTS ENTERING USA ON BOAT

Cuban illegal immigrants met by U.S. Coast Guard

A boat with 27 Cubans trying to reach the United States was intercepted about 29 miles north of Cuba, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

After an HC-144 Ocean Sentry airplane crew spotted what the Coast Guard called a “rustic vessel,” the Coast Guard picked up the Cubans.

As is procedure, they were given food, water and medical attention before being returned to Cuba on Thanksgiving Day.
