NORTH CAROLINA- Alamance County Sheriff Terry Johnson believes illegal immigrants rape American citizens, and that is why he wants $2.8 million in federal funding to house inmates for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Marshals Service.
Rape and indecent liberties with children are some of the most common crimes amongst illegal immigrants in America. The $2.8 million would let the Sheriff’s Office hire 30 people, including detention officers and a lieutenant, buy uniforms and equipment for them, as well as computers, transportation vans, linens and toiletries for inmates.
Alamance county approved the $2.8 million funding. So now illegal immigrants in Alamance County will have a harder time bailing out of jail. In Alamance County jail ICE detainers will be placed on illegal immigrants which offers a more direct line to deportation proceedings.
