On November 3, 2019 Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents patrolling near Lukeville, Arizona apprehended 20-year-old Hector Josue Valeviano who is a Honduran national illegally present in the United States.
Hector was convicted of sexual assault of a child on July 3, 2019, in El Paso County, Colorado. Hector is listed as a registered sex offender for life, and was subsequently deported after his conviction.
Hector, a previously deported aggravated felon, will face federal prosecution for immigration violations.
All persons apprehended by the Border Patrol undergo criminal history checks using biometrics to ensure illegal immigrants with criminal histories are positively identified.
