A mass shooting inside the King Soopers grocery store in Boulder, Colorado killed 10 people, including a police officer. The shooting was on March 22, 2021. Among the dead is officer Eric Talley, 51, with the Boulder Police Department. Officer Eric had been with the department since 2010.
Following a fierce snow storm, a male shooter entered the grocery store armed with a assault style rifle and dark colored tactical gear. The suspect shot several times in all directions in an attempt to kill as many people possible. Several people were immediately shot and died on scene. The loud horrific sounds of gunshots sent a panic throughout the store.
Officer Eric was the first officer on the scene, and was quickly killed by the suspect. Originally there were only 6 people killed in the shooting spree, but as the day moved on the death toll rose to 10. More may come.
Multiple people were shot by the suspect and are in area hospitals.
