3 PEOPLE KILLED IN WRECKS WITHIN WEEK, SUSPECT CHARGED IN ONE CASE
3 young people have suddenly loss their lives after being involved in vehicular collisions in Charlotte, NC.
Morgan Wetherbee, Jonathan Davis, 29, and Jabe Wilhoit, 18, were all killed from vehicle accidents within the last 7 days. Breeana McClain, 25, has been arrested after being charged in the wreck that killed Morgan Wetherbee.
Ms. Morgan died on December 4, 2020. She survived for months in the hospital after she was injured in a wreck that occurred on May 7, 2020. The wreck was on North Tryon Street. Breeana is accused of operating a vehicle at a high rate of speed. She allegedly loss control of her vehicle, crossed a traffic median, and ran into oncoming traffic.
Hence hitting Ms. Morgan's vehicle head on. Breeana also allegedly had open containers of alcohol in her vehicle at the time of the crash.
Jonathan Davis was killed on December 11, 2020 on Beatties Ford Road Charlotte, NC. His wreck involved a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Freightliner Bus, Jonathan was driving a Honda Civic.
Officials say, the Honda ran off the road and traveled through the grass shoulder, Jonathan then lost control of the vehicle.
The Honda slid back onto the road surface and crossed the double yellow lane divider into the opposing lane. The school bus and Jonathan collided, which sent the vehicle Jonathan was driving down an embankment.
The bus ran off the road and hit a utility pole. There were no kids on the bus. Jonathan was pronounced dead on the scene.
Jabe Wilhoit was killed on December 8, 2020. The actual wreck was on December 6, 2020 on Brief Road Charlotte, NC.
Jabe was operating a SUV. He eventually lost control and hit a tree. Jabe was originally treated for serious injuries. But he died 2 days later.
