The Target is on a Charlotte Firefighter after he was accused of stealing $500 in merchandise from Target

Timothy Ireland, 42, has been charged for a series of larcenies at a Target store in Charlotte, NC. Timothy is a firefighter in Charlotte, he was arrested on May 26, 2020.

On May 25, 2020, a representative of Target Corporation notified the Charlotte Police Department of a suspect who allegedly committed a series of larcenies at the Target store located at 900 Metropolitan Avenue. 

Detectives began to investigate and learned a suspect allegedly stole more than $500.00 during the course of seven larcenies between April 30, 2020, and May 24, 2020.  Detectives were able to identify the suspect as 41-year-old Timothy Ireland, who is an employee of the Charlotte Fire Department. 

Timothy is charged with seven counts of misdemeanor larceny.

Timothy has been employed with Charlotte Fire Department since February 18th, 2008.

A statement from Charlotte Fire Department Chief Reginald Johnson says:

“I am disappointed by the charges against our Firefighter. This does not represent or reflect our values as a Department. I have the highest expectations of our members on how they conduct themselves on-duty as well as off-duty.”
