Police have charged 43-year-old Nathaney Davis in connection to the rape and armed robbery of a young woman during the summer of 1995 in Charlotte, NC.
On June 5, 1995, the 23-year-old victim was walking on Nations Ford Road when she was approached by two unknown armed males. The males took money and jewelry from the victim before one of the males, armed with a gun, sexually assaulted her. After the assault, the suspects fled the scene and the victim was able to get to a phone and call police.
The victim was treated at Carolinas Medical Center and a sexual assault kit was completed. The sexual assault kit was initially tested in 1995, and additional testing was completed on it in 2018 as a part of a federal grant Charlotte police received.
