
CONVICTED FELON CHARGED WITH MURDER ON WEST SUGAR CREEK
Darius Chambers, 28, is charged with the murder of Ryan Autry, 29. Darius was arrested on April 1, 2021. Darius is already a convicted felon.
Acting on alleged evidence, police put out a state wide be on the look out alert for Darius. And on April 1, 2021, Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Deputies encountered Darius during a traffic stop. At the conclusion of the traffic stop Darius allegedly agreed to speak with police detectives in Charlotte.
Darius was then arrested and charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

In the year 2012 Darius robbed a Papa Johns pizza delivery driver and was convicted for the crime. Darius served time in jail for the robbery.
In 2015 Darius was arrested during a traffic stop. Police allegedly found marijuana and Xanax pills during the 2015 traffic stop. Allegedly, the Xanax pills appeared to be packaged for distribution. Darius was ultimately charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule IV drug, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, and possession of marijuana.
