On September 25, 2022 a man was arrested and charged with the murder of Los Angeles County Probation Officer Paula Lind. Paula was murdered at her home on September 25, 2022 in Lancaster, California.
The suspect is accused of breaking into Paula's home through a back door. Paula got home from a work shift at midnight and the man jumped out from a hallway and attacked her.
Paula was beaten to death by the man. She had blunt force trauma from the attack. The man is then accused of having sex with Paula's dead body. Police were called to the home and they found Paula dead.

Cops also found the male suspect in the home, he was arrested charged with murder, assault with intent to commit rape during a residential burglary, first degree residential burglary and sexual contact with deceased remains.
The District Attorney's Office says:
“The murder of Officer Lind has shocked all of Los Angeles County, and we in the District Attorney’s Office extend our condolences to her family, friends and Probation Department colleagues. That this officer who dedicated her career to public safety fell victim to senseless and depraved violence in her home is beyond tragic. We will do all in our power to hold the person responsible for this to account. My office’s victim advocates stand ready to offer support and services to Officer Lind’s family.”
