MAN ACQUITTED OF MURDER AFTER TEEN SHOT IN HEAD AND KILLED
On February 1, 2022 the murder case against Christopher Chisolm, 19, was dismissed. He was accused of murdering 19-year-old Briana Stephenson in Charlotte, NC. Briana was shot in the head.
The case was in superior court, tried by felony homicide prosecutors. The District Attorney's Office says that there is non sufficient evidence to continue with murder charges against Christopher.
Specifically prosecutors say there is no forensic evidence that places Christopher at the scene of the crime, the murder weapon was not exclusive to the defendant, and Christopher was not identified as the suspect.

Ultimately the murder charges were dismissed due to a lack of evidence.
Briana and Jaquavious were in a vehicle sitting at a red light when another vehicle pulled up and fired several shots. Briana had life threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital. The next day on March 9th, Briana died from her wounds.
Jaquavious received only minor injuries during the incident. Days later Christopher was charged with Briana's murder, but nearly 2 years later all of the charges were dropped.
