MAN ARRESTED AT CHURCH ON PALM SUNDAY AFTER RUSHING STAGE
Robert Smothers, 37, interrupted the Palm Sunday church service by rushing the front stage and causing $30,000 worth of damage. On April 14 Robert was at the church like many other worshipers, but all hell broke loose real fast.
Robert for whatever reason came charging at the stage and allegedly attempted to steal church audio equipment, the church's audio system was damaged in the process. Robert is facing charges including attempted larceny and disorderly conduct at a public building.
Robert served 12 years in prison for second degree murder and since his release, he has been arrested at least three other times this year.
Robert was fired from Goodwill earlier this year after a manager accused him of stealing. Robert was also accused of stealing from a Walmart.
