Noah McClaskey, 24, died in a fatal collision on February 19, 2022 on Albemarle Road Charlotte, NC. Anthonie Fennell, 25, is facing DWI and other felony charges.

The crash was at 2:12 a.m. Noah, Anthonie, and a woman were all in the car together. Anthonie was allegedly driving the Dodge Challenger on Central Avenue and drove straight through the intersection with Albemarle Road and off the roadway, officials say.

The Dodge Challenger then entered the parking lot of a car dealership and struck four metal poles before going airborne and overturning. The Dodge Challenger struck a total of five parked cars in the parking lot of the car dealership.

911 medics arrived on scene and transported Anthonie and the woman to the hospital with serious injuries. The woman had broken bones and severe lacerations. Noah was pronounced deceased on scene by paramedics.

A DWI Task Force officer responded to the hospital and determined that the alleged driver Anthonie showed signs of impairment. When Anthonie is released from the hospital he will be charged with felony death by motor vehicle and felony serious injury by vehicle, along with DWI, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane.
