On Sunday, October 24, 2021, Corey White, 41, was shot and killed on West Carson Boulevard in the uptown of Charlotte, NC.

The shooting was in the parking lot of a business at 2:17 a.m. An altercation erupted between Corey and a group of people. Several shots were fired and Corey was shot. 

Off-duty officers heard the shooting and located Corey with a gunshot wound. Medic also responded to the scene and transported Corey to a local hospital.

On October 24, 2021, at 6:01 a.m., Corey succumbed to his injuries that he sustained in the shooting and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
