MAN SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR PRODUCING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OF ASIAN GIRLS
On October 29, 2020 Brian Kursonis, 59, was sentenced to 360 months in prison and a lifetime of supervised release for production of child pornography. Brian was also ordered to register as a sex offender after he is released from prison.
Brian was arrested in April 2018 in the plush Providence Crossing Neighborhood in Charlotte, NC. Brian sexually abused two Asian sisters for almost 10 years at his Duncourtney Lane, Charlotte, NC residence.
Brian began sexually abusing both girls in 2008, when the youngest was 8 years old. They're now both in their 20's. About two years after the abuse started, the younger daughter told her mother about Brian's sexual behavior towards her.
The mother confronted Brian and he denied it. A year later, the mother confronted Brian a second time; Brian then admitted to molesting the younger daughter.
For whatever reason, the mother waited to go to police until seven years later. The girls' mother reported the crimes to police on April 4, 2018, after she found an inappropriate digital photo of the younger daughter.
Police conducted an investigation and arrested Brian on April 23.
Over the course of the investigation law enforcement located numerous images of child pornography on Kursonis’ seized computer and other electronic devices. On July 20, 2020, Kursonis pleaded guilty to production of child pornography.
