In June 2019 Brandon Arant, 32, pled guilty to second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and indecent liberties with a child. In 2018 Arant sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl at a house in Charlotte, NC.

Arant laid on the victim in a bed and used his body weight to prevent her from getting up. Arant then preceded to sexually assault the 16-year-old girl.

After Arant was done he took the victim's Samsung Galaxy cell phone to prevent 911 from being called. At that moment the victim tried to run out of the house, but Arant grabbed a kitchen knife and stopped her from leaving. The victim's mother confronted Arant about the sexual assault and then a physical altercation took place between the adults.

Arant was arrested days later. At his trial in 2019 Arant was sentenced to a total of 51-131 months in prison. Upon his release from prison, he must register as a sex offender for 30 years.
