MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR HOUSE EXPLODES, WOMAN KILLED, DOCTOR INJURED

The house before and after the gas explosion

A gas explosion killed a wealthy woman and sent her Doctor husband to the hospital in a helicopter

On the afternoon of July 2 ,2019 58-year-old Rania Karam was killed at her home during a gas explosion on 11812 James Jack Lane Charlotte, NC 28277. The home is valued at over $1 million.

Rania's body was recovered from the debris around 9 p.m. on the day of the explosion.

Rania's husband Dr. Jebran Karam was airlifted to the emergency room after he was found in the rubble and debris of the explosion. Rania and Dr. Karam are the only two people believed to of been in the home at the time of the explosion.

Out of no where the house exploded instantly killing Rania. Dr. Karam was some how able to call 911, which allowed firefighters to find him and save his life.

Dr. Karam is a famed cardiologist in Beckley, West Virginia, but he lives in Charlotte. Neighbors describe feeling the blast and hearing a loud boom. The gas to the house and most of the neighborhood has now been turned off.
