ONE SHOT AT LABOR DAY COOKOUT IN GRIER TOWN

A Labor Day cookout shooting has left one person shot

A shooting incident occurred at a Labor Day 2019 cookout on Sam Drenan Road Charlotte, NC. It was first advised that there were no victims, but a man who had been shot showed up to the hospital after the shooting. The shooting took place on September 2, 2019.

A man was killed on Labor Day 2018 in a violent west Charlotte shooting.

A male victim arrived at CMC-University with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to the hospital by an unknown individual. The shooting took place during a confrontation between several individuals at the Labor Day cookout in the Grier Town area of Charlotte.

In addition to the injured man, an occupied house and an occupied apartment were both shot into. An unoccupied vehicle was also struck by a bullet. At this point, it does not appear that the apartment, house or car were actually being targeted.

No arrest has been made at this time.
