The Sushi 101 Noodle Bar scored an 88 B during a health safety inspection on December 8, 2021. The restaurant is located at 5355 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy Charlotte, NC.


The inspector saw a roach crawling on the sushi cutting board at the Sushi 101 Noodle Bar. State law requires that food be protected against contamination from pests. 

The inspector demanded that the cutting board be washed, rinsed, and sanitized.

A cockroach was in a container of soap at Edomae Sushi & Hibachi Grill. The restaurant did not have regular pest control service.

2 cooks at Sushi 101 were not wearing hair restraints. Food employees are required to wear a hair restraint. A container of mushrooms in the reach-in cooler had visible dirt on them. 

The shelves were rusted in the walk-in cooler. The cutting board attached to the sandwich cooler is severely stained and no longer smooth or easily cleanable. 

A container of squid salad was date marked 12-1-2021 and had not yet been discarded. 

No Sushi 101 Noodle Bar employee present during the inspection had active ANSI food protection manager certification.
