SCHOOL BUS RUNS INTO BUILDING WHILE STUDENTS ABOARD, INJURIES INVOLVED

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools bus crashed into a building in north Charlotte Thursday morning.

Officials say the incident happened around 8:30 a.m. off Statesville Avenue near Norris Avenue in Charlotte, NC. The crash caused the blocking of all inbound lanes of Statesville Avenue south of Atando Avenue.

Students were aboard the bus at the time of the crash. There were several reported injuries. The school that the bus is assigned to is not known at the moment.
