Antonio Torres, 21, has been charged in a series of home break-ins in Charlotte, NC. Antonio was arrested on April 29, 2020.

Several residents of the Marlow Community had their homes being broken into.

On April 29, 2020, just after 5:00 a.m., a residential burglary near Denning Place Charlotte, NC occurred. Five residents were asleep inside their home when a suspect broke a window and stole several items from inside. The suspect also unlawfully entered two unlocked vehicles in the driveway and then fled before officers arrived. A canine unit commenced a search but were unable to locate the suspect. 

That same morning, shortly before 8:30 a.m., a break-in occurred on Barncliff Road. A suspect had stolen items from a utility room, and then attempted to break into the residential portion of the victim’s home. The suspect fled but was quickly apprehended by officers a short distance away from the residence.

While continuing their investigation, officers located an additional residence on Barncliff Road which had its storage shed broken into. Tools were also taken from a vehicle in that driveway. 

Much of the stolen property was recovered, and detectives interviewed Antonio. 

Antonio was arrested and charged with first degree burglary, two counts of breaking and entering, one count of attempted breaking and entering, four counts of larceny after breaking and entering, and two counts of larceny from motor vehicle.
