The police Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team worked alongside negotiators to arrest Lonnie Raye, 29, at a home on McCord Street Charlotte, NC.
Lonnie had outstanding arrest warrants, so cops with the Crime Reduction Team arrived at his home on McCord Street to arrest him for those warrants at 11:45 a.m.
The officers made contact with the occupants of the home but Lonnie refused to come out. An adult female and two small children came out of the residence but Lonnie again refused to come out and stated through communication that the police would have to come in and get him.

SWAT and negotiators were called to the scene and with the assistance of family members were able to continue talking with Lonnie until the suspect surrendered peacefully into police custody.
Lonnie was arrested and served arrest warrants for larceny of firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, breaking and entering, possession of stolen property, larceny after breaking and entering, and a felony probation violation.
