A teenage party turned violent after a teenager was shot in the head

On February 7, 2021 Khalil Sifford, 16, was shot in the head at a party on 6630 East W.T. Harris Blvd. Charlotte, NC. The party was for a student athlete that attended a high school in Charlotte.

Around 11 p.m. shots were fired and Khalil was shot in the head. The loud sound of shots sent people running in all directions in a very chaotic manner. Khalil was pronounced deceased on the scene by medics.

Two other individuals suffered minor non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to area hospitals. A 16-year-old female fell after the incident and was transported to Atrium Health Hospital. A 50-year-old male suffered head trauma and was transported to Atrium Health Main.

I understand kids/teenagers need things to do. I also know parties can be safe, fun & all that. However on this night as many times lately there was problems. Doesn’t change the fact many are left behind that will now cry forever. My teen girl wonders why im so hard & don’t let her do nothing. Cause I’m terrified that anything can and does break out in seconds. Rather her be angry than dead
