A triple homicide resulted in a total of 4 men being killed. The 4th death was a suicide by the suspect of the triple homicide. 58-year-old Michael Elliott (Not Pictured), Kendrick Knight, 26, and Philip Jewell, 41, were all murdered in a triple homicide. The suspect 21-year-old Michael Matocha committed suicide soon after the murders.

On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, 4 men were killed in Huntersville, NC in the afternoon. The Huntersville Police Department responded to an assist medic call on Caldwell Station Road in Huntersville. 

Upon medic arrival to the scene, it was determined the occupant of the home was deceased. The victim was identified as Michael Elliott. Due to circumstances surrounding the death, a homicide investigation commenced, which carried into Wednesday, June 2, 2021.

During the course of the investigation detectives located a second homicide victim, identified as Kendrick Knight in a nearby wooded area. 

As the investigation continued into June 3, 2021, detectives located a third homicide victim, identified as Philip Jewell, in his home, which is within the same community as the first two homicide victims. 

Inside the home of Mr. Jewell, detectives also located the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Michael Matocha, deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

There is still no motive as to what happened, and why the men were killed.
