UBER DRIVER SHOT IN HEAD WHILE DROPPING CLIENT OFF

An Uber driver was shot in the head after someone opened fire on her SUV near St. Augustine’s University

On October 7, 2019 a woman driving for Uber was dropping off a passenger around 2 a.m. on Hill Street Raleigh, NC when she was shot in the head after several bullets hit her SUV near St. Augustine’s University by a unknown suspect.

Surveillance video showed a man approach the SUV after the Uber driver dropped off the passenger. As the Uber driver pulled away, the shooter fired several shots and then ran off in the opposite direction.

The woman was shot on the top of her head before she pulled over on East Street for help.

The driver is heard crying on a 911 call.

“Somebody shot me! ... I’m bleeding,” the caller says, sobbing heavily.

Help arrived and she was taken to a hospital.

A rear window was even shot out on the woman's vehicle.

There is no indication on what led to the shooting or if any arrests have been made.
