Some food employees should be fired!! The Wendy's located at 6849 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd, Mint Hill, NC scored a terrible 87.50 B during a food safety inspection on October 28, 2020. And this is not the first time this Wendy's location has scored a B during a health inspection either.
But more on the October 2020 score. There was a big lack of managerial control observed in the kitchen due to improper cold holding temperatures, food safety implementation, and improper hand washing.
One employee was seen by the inspector touching their face mask and then resuming to prep food. The inspector peacefully confronted the employee and provided education on washing hands properly.
Multiple risk factor violations that were observed were repeat offenses on the last two consecutive inspections at this Mint Hill, NC Wendy's.
The inspector noted that more training is needed at this Wendy's, especially on the risk factor notations. Several Wendy's employees were seen putting on new gloves without washing their hands prior.
During the inspection there were stacks of pans deemed clean, but were really dirty with food debris inside. The assorted salads and shredded cheese in the reach-in cooler were being held at unsafe temperatures above 41F; including the milk and whipped butter.
There were foods on the cold holding line with no time stamps. The inspector saw several stacks of containers stacked wet on top of each other. Dishes are suppose to be dried before they are stacked to prevent mold, mildew, and bacteria buildup.
