WOMAN CHARGED IN WEST CHARLOTTE POLICE CHASE INVOLVING ALLEGED DRUGS

It started in a park, then a chase over 60 mph, and then an arrest

Tyjirah Perdue, 23, is charged in connection to a chase that started at a park in Charlotte, NC.

On August 1st, 2019 at 1:16 AM, Tyjirah and Leroy Moise, 36, were allegedly observed in a closed park after dark on Tuckaseegee Rd. Both suspects are accused of having narcotics on their possession. Leroy is accused of having a firearm.

Tyjirah is also accused of fleeing from the scene in a motor vehicle to avoid arrest. A brief chase ensued at speeds over 60 mph. During the alleged chase Tyjirah allegedly failed to stop for red lights and stop signs. Tyjirah is accused of driving recklessly and with wanton disregard. The alleged chase finally came to a stop and Tyjirah was arrested, charged with marijuana possession and many other charges.

Leroy was charged with carrying a concealed gun and marijuana possession.
