WOMAN HAD CAR FULL OF METHAMPHETAMINE WHILE TWO CHILDREN WERE INSIDE

Over $200,000 in methamphetamine was in a vehicle that had infant children inside

On June 18, 2020 a 26-year-old woman driving a white Dodge Charger along with her two infant children approached the Highway 86 Checkpoint in Calexico, CA.

A Border Patrol K-9 detection team alerted to the vehicle in the primary inspection lane. Border Patrol agents discovered 104 packages of methamphetamine concealed inside the trunk and the door panels of the vehicle. 

The total weight of the narcotics discovered was approximately 114.4 pounds of methamphetamine with an estimated value of $217,360.

The woman is a United States citizen; the narcotics and vehicle were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration. The infant children were turned over to Child Protective Services.
