Celeste Lytle was killed when the vehicle she was driving struck a concrete median

23-year-old Celeste Lytle was killed in a bad vehicle crash on Wilkinson Boulevard, Charlotte, NC.

The car accident was on December 7, 2019 in the night time. Emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Wilkinson Boulevard and located a 1996 Saturn SL1 that had run off the road and struck a tree.

The driver, Celeste was pronounced deceased at the scene and was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the Saturn was traveling at a high rate of speed, officials say. The vehicle’s driver’s side tires struck the concrete median and the vehicle slid out of control while traveling off the right side of the road, striking both a utility pole and a tree officials say.

Officials say excessive speed is a contributing factor in this crash and impairment is suspected.
