A father and mother are dead. For days, Malik said in his head he heard "stay down stay down"

A suspect approached Malik and shot him multiple times near a residence. Paramedics arrived and tried to revive the victim, but Malik died at the scene. Malik has several young children. He recently had a vacation in Florida with his family.
A mother of Malik's kids died in a separate situation prior to Malik's murder.
