Armored truck driver shot in face and killed during money transfer at Popeyes, was ambushed by three suspects
A Loomis Armored truck driver was shot in the face and killed during a violent robbery at a Popeyes chicken restaurant in Houston, Texas. The victim has been identified as 68-year-old Francis Hazzard.
On October 25, 2019 in the afternoon three suspects, all armed with guns, approached Francis as he was leaving the restaurant with a black money bag. The men were all armed and their faces were covered when they approached from behind the restaurant.
A struggle developed, and a suspect shot Francis in the face. The suspects grabbed the bag of money and fled in an SUV.
Francis was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
