MAN GETS 5 YEARS IN PRISON FOR PUNCHING 8-YEAR-OLD IN ROBBERY, LED COPS ON CHASE
Ladies get a good look at Brandon Delacerda, 20, (Seen here). You won't be seeing his pretty face anytime soon because he was sentenced to 5 to 7 years in prison today.
Brandon robbed several people and punched a 8-year-old kid during one of the armed crimes.
The robberies occurred throughout the Charlotte-area on Nov. 16, 2017 by a group of Latino men. Brandon just happened to be the first to plead guilty.
The first armed robbery was reported on Sudbury Road. Victims told officers that they were approached by the suspects who demanded money while implying they had a firearm. Then, Brandon punched a 8-year-old victim.
That same night, CMPD received a call around 7 p.m. on Dunlavin Way in reference to shots fired into an apartment. Six people were inside the apartment including a three-year-old and a one-year-old.
Brandon and his 'migos' went on to rob again at 7:45 p.m. on Central Avenue. These victims told police they were in their car when they were approached by the suspects who demanded their phones and money. The suspects fled in a vehicle.
Finally, at 9:34 p.m. cops saw the suspect vehicle in a Wendy's drive through on Central Avenue and Eastway Drive, perhaps hungry from all of their ill fitted crimes.
When officers tried to pull the suspect car over, the vehicle led them on a chase which ended when the car crashed at the dead end of Falmouth Road and Enfiled Road. All of the suspects were arrested.
Today in court Brandon pled guilty to two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm into occupied property, and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
Brandon was sentenced to 64-89 months in prison.
