Marquez Alston, 22, was arrested for robbing two men while they were fixing their cars at the Woodbridge apartment complex in Charlotte, NC.
Marquez was already on electronic monitor probation, so the fast cash was a bad move for him.
Today at 4:00 p.m., a robbery was reported on Yateswood Drive. The victim advised he was robbed by two armed males while he was working on his vehicle. The suspects forced the victim to go inside of his residence and then demanded property from everyone inside.
Kids were in the residence and they were extremely traumatized.
A short time later at 4:37 p.m., the robberies progressed to Sherrington Way. Officers were advised the victim was robbed by two suspects at gunpoint while he was working on his vehicle.
Officers in the Real Time Crime Center were able to locate Marquez, who is on electronic monitoring, in close proximity to both incidents.
Officers with the assistance of RTCC and K-9, located and detained Marquez.
Marquez was then arrested and charged with two counts of Armed Robbery, two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, Felony Breaking and Entering, Kidnapping, and four counts of False Imprisonment.
The other suspect is on the loose.
