TEENS GO ON ROBBERY SERIES, THEN WRECK

Five teenagers performed several robberies and then wrecked after trying to run from police.

Kaiterrance Moore, 17, Jamaree Edwards, 16, Tajhier Ordde, 16, Kadijah Whitlock, 16, and a 14-year-old male juvenile were all arrested for their involvement in the robbery series.

On the evening of November 24, 2018, the crew carjacked a man on WT Harris Boulevard in Charlotte, NC. The victim advised that a suspect got in his vehicle and forced him to drive at gunpoint. The suspect then forced the victim out of the vehicle and drove away.

Three days later on November 27, two of the suspects robbed a victim on Conference Lane.

On Thursday night police located a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle used in one of the armed robberies.

Officers initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle failed to stop. A pursuit ensued and the vehicle came to a stop on Eastway Drive near Shamrock after striking several vehicles.

The occupants jumped and ran from the vehicle but were detained shortly afterwards with the assistance of the Aviation and K-9 Units.

Officers determined that the vehicle involved in the pursuit, a 2013 Kia Optima, was reported stolen from Featherbrook Road on November 27, 2018.
