Jordan Bryson-Antonio Douglas, 21, is charged in this sexual assault case.
On July 5, 2019, at approximately 4:00 a.m., two adult women were walking near a construction area on West 6th Street Charlotte, NC when they were allegedly approached by Mr. Douglas. The suspect was armed with a gun.Â
Mr. Douglas allegedly threatened both women and sexually assaulted one of them. The suspect also allegedly robbed the victim women of their belongings and fired a gun during the commission of this crime, however neither victim was shot.
At 4:07 a.m., 911 received a call from a concerned citizen who heard the victims yelling for help and the gunshot. Officers immediately responded and located the suspect, who ran from officers. Â
Responding officers chased the suspect and were able to apprehend him and recover a firearm.
Mr. Douglas was transported to an area hospital due to minor injuries he received during the struggle with one of the victims.
He was released from the hospital and charged with 2 counts of first degree sex offense, 2 counts of first degree kidnapping, 2 counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and 2 counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
