An entertaining and enlightening new video has gone viral across news sites and social media that asks kids their thoughts about gay marriage.
First the kids, ages 5-13, individually watch two videos of same-sex marriage proposals—the first of men, the second of women. During and after the airing of the video proposals, the producers, The Fine Brothers, feature the kids' candid reactions and ask them questions about their opinions on marriage between two people of the same gender.
The purpose of the video is to gain some perspective into how Americans perceive gay marriage today. "The opinions of children about these issues can give incredibly valuable insight into where our society currently stands and where we are headed as people," the video states. "It's important to discuss these topics openly in hopes of a better tomorrow through dialogue and conversation."
The Fine Brothers, the online producers of the "Kids React To Gay Marriage" video, launched their series Kids React in October 2010. To date, their most popular video is "Kids React to Harlem Shake" with more than 22.6 million views as of November 2013. So far, Kids React to Gay Marriage Proposals has garnered nearly 3.4 million views in just three days.
