Northern Michigan University's (NMU) Native American Student Association is hosting their 26th Annual Learning to Walk Together Traditional Powwow on Saturday, March 30 at the Marquette National Guard Armory, 1820 Lincoln Avenue, Marquette, Michigan.

The first grand entry is at 12 p.m., with a feast at 4 p.m. at the Northern Michigan University Jacobetti Complex, and a second grand entry at 6 p.m. back at the Marquette National Guard Armory.

This event celebrates Native American culture, song, and dance. This event promotes cultural diversity by giving both the Northern Michigan University and local community the opportunity to learn about Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) culture. Everyone is welcome to come and participate. 

Come to the Learning to Walk Together Powwow to see Native American drumming and singing, dancing in beautiful regalia, and to shop for handmade arts and crafts by our Native American vendors. 

Admission for Northern Michigan University students with ID is $1. Admission for the general public is $5. Admission for elders and children 10 and under is free. Pay admission at the door.
