The annual Gathering of Nation's Powwow is the nations largest annual powwow with thousands converging to New Mexico for the past 36 years. The Gathering of Nations hosts several events annually to include the musical artist performances on Stage 49, the massive powwow including competitions and the crowning of Miss Indian World.

This year's Miss Indian World is Cheyenne Kippenberger from the Seminole Tribe of Florida.

In celebration of the weekend's activities, Indian Country Today has gathered some of our favorite posts on social media and is sharing them here. You can post your own experiences using the hashtag #GON2019.
