Building on the early successes for the non-profit, Indigenous digital platform

Sky Vasquez will join Indian Country Today as director of business development.

Vasquez, Bishop Paiute, will be responsible for the business operations of the digital news organization including the public media membership, underwriting, and working with the advertising department.

“Indian Country Today has been growing fast. Now we need to build on that early success in order to create a sustainable venture. To get there we need the right strategy and execution. I am confident that Sky Vasquez can make it so,” said Mark Trahant, editor of Indian Country Today. “She has the vision, the organization skills, and a wide network of contacts in Indian Country, exactly what we need for the next phase of our enterprise.”
