The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe has issued a step-by-step infographic detailing what Native voters can do to ensure they can vote on election day.

The graphic has garnered national attention and has been posted on such news sites as NBC, CNN and the Rachel Maddow show.

Maddow tweeted recently: " BREAKING: Native Americans push back on North Dakota voter ID rule, announcing in a new statement they will issue street address documents at polling locations to members who need them."

This info ad reflects exactly the way a true community should operate (as well as the ideal image we have of Native societies): people anticipating the needs of other people, and putting themselves forth to be of real service. Not least noteworthy is the offer of a free ride to the polling place. Terrific! This is so beautiful.
