Brookings: The border wall damage the environment and it "will hurt Native American communities: some 26 federally-recognized Native American Nations in the United States and eight Indigenous Peoples in Mexico. It would cut through their tribal homelands and separate tribal members from their relatives, traditional homelands, and sacred sites. It would also sunder them from the natural environment crucial for their livelihoods and cultural and religious identity."

The environmental damage has been done and carried out already. The Sonoran Desert is not as pristine and natural 50 year ago. The trash, refuse, condiments, bags are an eye sore in the arroyos and washes in the varied valleys (San Pedro, Santa Cruz, etc._ which has been occurring for 20 years now! Nogales Sonora constantly has sewer city breaks and the sewage flows into Nogales Arizona every monsoon season......A "wall" will only be applicable in 1 of 10 designated areas of the entire 1970 border line where the $5.7 BILLIOn will only cover no more than 200 miles......the other 1,700 miles will not be impacted. Homeland Security and US Border have designed those 10 areas that require secure barrier to minimize: drugs, gangs, killings, illegal alien entry, etc. Now you know the other part of the storyline....
