Peshlakai seeks to increase TPT revenues to Navajo college, secure funding for five office of Indian education employees

S.B. 1268 TPT; distribution; tribal college compact

Senator Peshlakai’s S.B. 1268 TPT; distribution; tribal college compact is scheduled to be heard in the Senate Committee on Finance Wednesday, February 20 at 2 p.m.

S.B. 1268 seeks to increase the annual TPT revenues distributed to Navajo Technical University by $1 million each year from FY 2020 to FY 2027.

S.B. 1270 office of Indian education; assistance

Sen. Peshlakai’s S.B. 1270 office of Indian education; assistance scheduled hearing has been changed to Thursday, February 21 at 2 p.m., or upon adjournment of the Senate Floor Session.

S.B. 1270 seeks to appropriate funding to the state office of Indian education to provide five (5) full-time employees to the office.
