Cheyenne River Youth Project
EAGLE BUTTE, SD (June 25, 2018) — The Cheyenne River Youth Project’s annual RedCan invitational graffiti jam officially kicks off this Thursday morning, June 28 and runs through Saturday evening, June 30.
Ten graffiti and street artists from across the country will converge on Eagle Butte, South Dakota, for three days of painting, youth arts education, community engagement and cultural exchange in the heart of the Cheyenne River Lakota Nation.Painting will take place at CRYP’s free, public Waniyetu Wowapi (Winter Count) Art Park and at various sites around Eagle Butte.
Also on deck: Live performances from Frank Waln, Dances With Words and Mylo Smith Jr.; Lakota drum groups; youth traditional cultural exhibitions; a youth art exhibition; art workshops and classes; and so much more.
