Iroquois Nationals

The Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse Team was delayed while traveling to the 2018 FIL Men’s World Lacrosse Championship in Israel due to passport procedural issues they encountered in Canada while trying to depart on Monday. The team returned to Haudenosaunee Territory and was on the field practicing in Six Nations on Tuesday morning while awaiting resolution.

Iroquois Nationals Executive Director Ansley Jemison said, "The visas are in the works due to negotiations between Canada and Israel. We travel on Haudenosaunee passports to many countries and believe it will be solved quickly."

The Iroquois Nationals are scheduled to play the USA on the first day of competition on Thursday, July 12 at 8:30 pm in Netanya, Israel. Iroquois Nationals management, FIL officials and the host committee are working to resolve the passport procedural issues to ensure the team can be at their opening game.

I'm very excited to see that the Iroquois Nationals are participating. Also...to Susan Rosenthal...Why do you have to drag that lie into this issue...just enjoy the games and cheer for the team of your choice.

Boycott Israel!

Israel's genocidal policies towards the Palestinians parallel genocidal policies directed against Indigenous peoples in North America. We should not allow Israel to use Indigenous athletes to whitewash its continuing crimes against humanity.
