WINDOW ROCK – The Navajo Election Administration and the Navajo Board of Election Supervisors are encouraging all registered Navajo voters to cast their early ballots for the Navajo Nation general election scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 6.

For early walk-in voting:

The last day to vote early in person is on Friday, Nov. 2 by 5:00 p.m. at any of the five Navajo agency election offices

For absentee ballots:

  • For registered voters that requested absentee ballots, your ballots must be received by any of the five Navajo agency election offices no later than Tuesday, Nov. 6 by 7:00 p.m. (whether the ballot is mailed or delivered in person)
  • You may also bring your absentee ballot to any Navajo Nation polling site on Election Day from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. to have your ballot re-issued for a new ballot to be completed at the polling site. The voter that requested for the absentee ballot has to be the one to return the absentee ballot to the polling site on Election Day.
  • If an absentee ballot is mailed and received after Nov. 6 the ballot will not be counted.

On Election Day on Nov. 6, voting polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. across the Navajo Nation to allow registered Navajo voters to vote for the positions of Navajo Nation presidency, council delegates, Board of Education, and Board of Election Supervisors.
