News Release

24th Navajo Nation Council - Office of the Speaker

The Navajo Nation Council Website is currently experiencing a prolonged outage following an attack on the Navajo Nation Department of Information Technology’s servers.

Users of the public Navajo Nation Council website have been experiencing connections issues and errors since late Tuesday.

Under the 164 process for processing legislation for public comment, one legislation sponsored by Delegate Kee Allan Begay, Jr. regarding a $50 million request from the Síhasin Fund for a student scholarship fund is on hold.

Once the Navajo Nation Council website is restored, the pending legislation will be posted and the five-day public comment period will begin.

Users of the Navajo Nation Office of Legislative Services, which is not hosted on the Department of Information Technology’s servers, can still access current legislation at www.nnols.org.

The website is expected to be restored by the end of the day.

The Navajo Nation Department of Information Technology is under the Division of General Services in the Executive Branch. The Navajo Nation Council website is hosted on the department’s servers.
